“Abbey Road” – the last studio album to be recorded by the Beatles, is a milestone in rock history and widely considered as the band’s swan song. The album features some of the band’s most inspiring music. Its revolutionary use of large-scale musical forces combining a rock band with a symphony orchestra inspired generations of listeners and musicians world wide.
Since 2006 “Abbey Road – Live!” concert was performed in a unique concert series in various concert halls and festivals in Israel. The aim of these concerts was to recreate the original Beatles’ recordings as faithfully as possible, in respect to both the characteristic “Beatles sound” and subtleties of performance. The concerts thus employed the musical instruments and equipment used by the Beatles in the late 60s, combined with Large Symphony Orchestra,
With Israeli Pop-Star, Yermy Kaplan, rock group “The Revolvers”, and the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the watershed album was performed in its entirety under the baton of conductor Gil Raveh.
In addition to performing the entire album, other great Beatles hits, such as “Hey Jude”, “Eleanor Rigby”, “Yesterday” “Let It Be”, “All You Need Is Love” and more, can also be found in the evenings menu. These songs, accompanied by large symphony orchestra or chamber ensembles (as they were originally recorded), complete this special music experience.
The “Abbey Road – Live!” concert was an immediate success in Israel, both artistically and financially, attracting wide audiences throughout the country.
